There used to be limits to the jungle, so much so that in the classic Guns N Roses hit, “Welcome To the Jungle,” lead singer Axl Rose actively offers his invitation to the jungle, and I quote, “welcome, to the jungle.” Pretty polite.
Now that Covid-19 has clenched it’s pandemic jaws around the world, and especially the United States, there is no longer a distinct border around the Jungle. It’s all bad, everywhere.
Rose, who is an outspoken proponent for face-masks, social distancing, and the scientifically backed theory that NOT partying in the face of a health crisis, has gone on record previously, sending snide comments and awesome clapbacks at Trump and his administration.
Now, as the world divulges into chaos, with more and more Americans getting the Coronavirus, and even more going out and socializing non-distance style, Rose speaks up again, saying that “In general my posts in regard to current events, politics or social issues r usually coming from a sense of outrage, obligation n’ responsibility to say something at times when I feel not to is being complicit (as opposed to a desire for attention or self promotion.)”
Axl is genuinely on the right side of history with all of this. Those not on the right side of history during these historic times? These numbskulls who chose to party over the weekend.
They even rang out, singing “Sweet Child O’Mine” while submerged in a pool, full to the brim with Covid.
We can’t wait to see what Axl has to say about this…
